Doctor Haim Blecher is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic
spine surgeon. Dr. Blecher is the Director of University Spine Associates. He
has extensive experience treating adult and pediatric scoliosis, degenerative
spinal conditions, spinal tumors, and trauma. Dr. Blecher brings state-of-the-art
techniques in spine care to the Princeton and New Jersey areas. His practice
includes complex reconstructive and minimally invasive spine surgery, total
disc replacement, and treatment of common back and neck disorders.
Dr. Blecher received his medical degree from State University of New York Health
Science Center at Syracuse, NY. His academic career is heralded by many awards
and honors. Dr. Blecher completed a surgical internship and orthopaedic surgical
residency at UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ
and simultaneously received training in orthopaedic oncology at Memorial Sloan
Kettering Hospital in New York, NY. Under the tutelage of Michael G. Neuwirth
MD, Dr. Blecher completed a Spine Surgery Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical
Center in New York.
Dr. Blecher authored two disc replacement research projects that gained international
recognition in 2004 at the Spine Arthroplasty Society conference in Austria.
In addition, he was a clinical instructor of the CHARITE™ Artificial Disc Replacement
certification course in Cincinnati, OH for DePuy Spine, Inc.
In addition, Dr. Blecher is an active member of several professional organizations
including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine
Society and Spine Arthroplasty Society.
