Dr. Floman is the Chairman and Director of the Israel Spine Center at Assuta
Hospital in Tel Aviv.
Dr. Floman earned his medical degree at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical
School in Jerusalem. Dr. Floman had both an Internship and Residency in Orthopedic
Surgery at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem. He participated in two
spine surgery fellowships under the directorship of J.E. Hall, M.D., at Children's
Hospital in Boston, MA and under the directorship of Richard Rothman, M.D.,
Ph.D., and Fred Simeone, M.D. at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Floman served for many years as the Chief of Spine Surgery at Hadassah-Hebrew
University Medical Center in Jerusalem where he was a Professor of Orthopedic
Surgery at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Since 2000, Dr. Floman is the
Director of the Israel Spine Center in Tel Aviv.
Dr. Floman served as the President of the Israel Orthopedic Association and
is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, International Society for the
Study of the Lumbar Spine, Spine Society of Europe, and the North American Spine
Society.
Dr. Floman has published 119 original articles in peer-reviewed journals, 22
book chapters, and presented numerous presentations and lectures to national
and international learned societies (over 100 presentations). He also edited
5 spine surgery books. Dr. Floman serves on the Editorial Board of Spine
and the Journal of Spinal Disorders.
